Vision Therapy now in Nanaimo

It’s with great excitement that Opto-mization Neurovisual Performance Nanaimo is taking on new patients.  For years, families and people have been driving down to Victoria from as far away as Tahsis on a regular basis.  The results were worth the travel, but it was hard on families, and the Malahat isn’t always driver friendly.
I would meet family after family that the travel created hardship for, and many where it meant that they couldn’t access the vision therapy they really needed.  Finally, I realized that we had to do something about it.

It’s taken a lot of work, and it’s been a fantastic team that put it all together.  Everyone from the realtor Devin Jahelka, to the fine people at Windley Contracting worked hard to get it together on time.   Dr. Alison Caiger-Watson (photo above) has moved to Nanaimo and will be working with me to bring the best in vision therapy and neuro-vision performance to Nanaimo and Vancouver Island.  We changed the name from McCrodan Vision Development to Opto-mization Neuro-visual performance, to more accurately reflect exactly what we do.  We look at how the eyes and the brain work together, and ensure it’s working optimally!

The Nanaimo community has been very welcoming, with excellent physiotherapists, chiropractors, occupational therapists, and medical doctors co-managing cases with us.

If you, or someone you love is struggling with dizziness, balance problems, headaches, migraines, or a learning disability, make sure that their vision isn’t holding them back.  Even though they see clearly, problems with how their eyes are coordinating, or how the brain is processing the vision could be the culprit.
